Soccer

Soccer was created at least 3000 years back. Soccer probably originated in China. Japan and China had the first International soccer game in around 50 BC. Soccer was banned in England for a time because early versions were quite violent.

Olliebollen

Olliebollen are a traditional new years food in the Netherlands. Olliebollen used to be called olliekoek until the early twentieth century. Although called oily balls this food is not oily at all if done well. Olliebollen are really good with apples and raisins. Powdered sugar is a must!

If Me And My Family Got Stuck On a Desert Island

If me and my family got stuck on a desert Island I think we would probably make some kind of game out of coconuts or go swimming. Daniel would probably climb trees while I would convince our parents to play an elaborate game with different kinds of coconuts sand seeds. And Sam would end up in the tree with Daniel.

How a Power - Cut Would Change My Lifestyle

If there was a power cut in my neighborhood it wouldn't change my lifestyle much because I spend most of my free time reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons or yu-gi-oh, making up games and playing outside with my friends and brothers. The way it would change my lifestyle is that since I do most of my homework on the computer I wouldn't be able to do much of that anymore.

Board Games

The first board game was created in the year 5000 BC and involved simply, dice. Other games such as Senet and Mehen sprang up later in ancient Egypt. Board games were created mainly for entertainment but several were religiously related like the before mentioned  Senet and Mehen. The "Mansion of Happiness" was another religiously related game. The first game was invented in Turkey and is a key piece in many of our modern games.

Game - Dragons Through the Ages

"Dragons through the ages" is a game with very little materials and its highly adaptable. It simply involves a pencil, a rubber, a ruler, quite a a lot of paper, and your imagination. To play you create certain jobs agreed on by the group such as, farmer, carpenter, warrior, and hunter. Each job gets a certain amount of materials per round. Everyone chooses a job and the group decides on some monsters with stats and xp values, then the group agrees on enough dragons to keep the game going for a while. The aim of the game is to capture one of each type of dragon. disagreements are resolved by paper scissors rock and the result of stunts and the like is a group decision. Every round each character must eat a certain amount of food agreed on by the group to survive and must get a vaccination every three rounds which costs one hundred gold if no one is playing the doctor or a price decided on by the doctor if some one is playing her/him. If there are parts missing in this explanation then the group fills in the missing pieces. Now go play!

The Country I Would Most Want To Go To

If I were to go to a country, I would go to Japan  because it has lots of cool foods and martial arts, like sushi and jujitsu. although it might be a bit cramped it would still be a really cool experience!

The IB Attitudes That we Need on Camp

In camp I think we will need to use all of the IB attitudes because they will all play a key role in our safety and happiness. Here is why:

Appreciation:
We need to appreciate camp because it is a very fun but very costly activity so chances are we won't go again if we don't appreciate it properly.

Commitment:
We need to commit to the activities at camp for basically the same reason as appreciation, if we don't commit we won't get enough fun and there won't be any point in doing it again.

Confidence:
To have proper fun we need to be confident and have a can do attitude.

Cooperation:
if we cooperate everything will be a lot easier and everyone will have more fun

Creativity:
For this camp it will be very helpful to have a creative approach to things.

Curiosity:
If we are curious in camp we could learn heaps of new things.

Empathy:
Kindness will be essential in this camp because it doesn't take much to get hurt in the bush and it will speed things up a lot if we help each other.

Enthusiasm:
Like confidence we need to be willing to try things to have proper fun.

Independence:
Some times we will have to be independent of others to succeed.

Integrity:
Like empathy we need to be kind on camp.

Respect:
We need to be respectful of the teachers, our fellow students and ourselves.

Tolerance:
We need to tolerate that some people aren't as good at some things as others.
